1) Load the appropriate weight on the machine.
2) Sit on the pad with your back fully supported. Grab onto the handles - you're aiming for a straight line between your hands and chest. If you need to adjust the seat's position, the lever should be at the bottom.
1) Slowly push the bars away from you. Their should be a slight bend in your elbows at the endpoint.
2) Pause at the top and squeeze your chest together. Now, reverse the movement back to the starting position.
